My Ikea Wishlist

Have you ever browsed on a website adding products to a basket that you won't checkout anytime soon? I like looking at different shops online and imagining buying stuff that I don't necessarily need. So, I thought of sharing my wishlist from Ikea.
Since I can’t go to their store, I browsed their website and picked out some stuff to include in my future house. In this list, I included at least an item for each room and described their material, storage capacity and why I would buy them. All photos included are from the Ikea website.
Kitchen

Item: Variera (£10)
This is an open box made in bamboo perfect to store small items. It comes in different sizes and presents a useful handle in the middle if you need to pick it up and can therefore move it easily from one room to another. The polished and neutral colour of bamboo can complement any furniture you have. I would personally put it in the kitchen as I liked the idea of having one for the spices, one for the condiments, one for the spreads (as illustrated by Ikea’s photos). It only costs £10 and I think it would be a great way to decorate the kitchen while having everything organised effectively.

Item: Plastis (£1)
These ice cub trays are the touch of colour my freezer needs. With summer coming soon, I put ice in every possible drink, so it’s a useful and cheap purchase (only £1) for my flat. Plus, the different shapes of the flower, fish and starfish make it hard not to be amused when using these. The trays could be a fun addition to fizzy drinks, but also cocktails during the weekends or iced coffee in the morning for that kick of much needed refreshing energy.
Living room

Item: Ljuv (£35)
This lantern for candles is ideal to add warmth to your living room. Its patterns are inspired from Middle East art and the colour black adds to the elegance of the item overall. Additionally, the colour plays a nice contrast with the light of the candle shining through the several small cavities of the pattern. The candles I chose to complement this item with are called Panerad (photo on the right, £4.25). They come in a set of 5 block candles which stand out from the black thanks to their calming shades of blue. The two together will contribute to a cosy and relaxed living room.
Bedroom

Item: Tokabo (£8)
This petite table lamp is perfect for the intimate environment of a bedroom. The subtle green colour and unique shape of the external glass is ideal if you want an arty and elegant piece for your room. The design of the lamp presents a modern twist while still bringing the same practicality and cosiness to the environment. The soft light will enhance the relaxed and calm atmosphere and, at the same time, allows me to read my book just before falling asleep.

Item: Lassbyn (£15)
These two small mirrors will add depth to my personal space while bringing a splash of modern design. The geometrical gold frames will add shine and a classy touch to your room. Both mirrors come with a metal chain and an easel so, if you’re indecisive as I am, you can choose later whether to hang them or place them on another piece of furniture. Both options will allow you to decorate your room with two practical and useful mirrors. These look perfect for my room as I always need to do a last check with my make up or jewellery before heading out for my busy day.
Bathroom

Item: Skadis (£26)
This pegboard comes with all the shelves, hangers and containers for my moisturisers, serums and make-up products. However, if you prefer adjusting it to your needs you can buy the pegboard and accessories separately and combine them as you wish. The white colour contributes to the clean and simple design of the item. The open shelves are easy to reach and make it simple to find those few essentials products that you need daily. I would use this organiser for the bathroom, as shown by the Ikea website, but it’s also versatile to place it in a bedroom or office for your supplies.
